FAQ

What data does Mandarin access?

Mandarin accesses your Google Calendar (to view and create events), Stanford directory (to find classmate emails), and optionally your Outlook (for sending emails). All data stays on your local machine.

Do I need a Claude subscription?

Yes, Mandarin uses Claude Code which requires an Anthropic subscription. Sign up at claude.ai - it's $20/month for Pro.

Why does Google say "This app isn't verified"?

We're a Stanford GSB student project and haven't gone through Google's verification. Click "Advanced" then "Go to Browser Agent Test (unsafe)" to proceed. Your data is safe.
